ADMISSIONS

Applications for the online Master's in Music Education are accepted three times per year. Applicants will be reviewed for admission on the strength of their ability for graduate studies, based upon the following criteria:

  • Show completion of a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university. If your undergraduate degree is not in Music or Music Education, please contact an enrollment advisor for additional requirements.
  • Complete School of Music Graduate School Online Application
  • Submit official transcripts of all schools attended
  • Present professional portfolio including:
  • Three professional letters of recommendation
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Personal statement indicating goals in pursuing a graduate degree
  • Professional paper in music or music education
  • Videotape of applicant teaching or observation form completed by a supervisor
  • International students applying to the Master's program must have a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper) 213 (computer) or 80 (internet)
